Well we may be biased, Stewart lives here, but Oakridge is one our favourite neighbourhoods in all of London, On. This is the consummate family neighbourhood. Original home owners are slowly making way for younger families but the sense of community remains. Large tree filled lots make up the bulk of the neighbourhood. It is not uncommon to see kids playing street hockey, walking to school or riding bikes. In the fall and winter you can smell the original wood burning fireplaces from all over the neighbourhood.
This area is home to some of the city’s best schools and the Sifton Bog Environmentally Significant Area. Oakridge is made up of Oakridge Acres, Oakridge Park, Oakridge Meadows/Huntington, Thornwood Estates, Hunt Club Green, Hazelden, and Hazelden Park.
16,730 people live here, up slightly from 2006.
89 percent of the 6,310 households are home owners.
Half of households have an annual total income of over $89,679.
